Rachel McManamay is a Rhetoric School science teacher, and she is excited to begin her first year of teaching at Valor. Originally from South Carolina, Rachel graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences. She received a Master of Science degree in Geography from Virginia Tech. She has been married to her husband Ryan, who is an Associate Professor of Environmental Science at Baylor, for over 20 years. They have two boys who will also attend Valor. Rachel has worked previously with the National Park Service, as an adjunct instructor in the Environmental Science Department at Baylor University, and as a science teacher at Brazos Valley Homeschool Co-Op.

Rachel and her family enjoy growing a garden, canning produce, and raising a few animals on their property in China Spring. Rachel loves to be outside as much as possible and enjoys running, hiking, and biking.
