Missy Polk loves teaching Kindergarten at Valor. She and her family moved to Waco and joined the Valor family in 2019 after hearing wonderful things about the amazing culture of discipling students, supporting families, and honoring God. Missy married her husband, Derek, in 2006 and graduated from Baylor with a BA in Deaf Education. She served the Deaf community by teaching high school Deaf students in the public school system in Austin for six years. She then had the greatest privilege of staying home with her babies. As they grew, she witnessed how classical education matched natural learning habits and fell in love with the kindergarten age. Her babies, Nora and Oliver, are now in the grammar school at Valor and they love it. Missy enjoys spending time with her family, baking for friends, and reading in any hammock.
