Kari and her husband, Mark, have been married for 16 years and have been part of the Valor family for 8 years. They have 3 children who are all at Valor. Kari has served at Valor in numerous capacities including leading the prayer committee and serving as a member of the Valor athletic advisory board. She also utilizes her occupational therapy background to assist teachers and administration in creating accommodations and modification plans for students having difficulty in the classroom. Mark and Kari are co-owners of Elite Therapy Center which Kari began in 2006 and has since grown it to include 6 locations and over 70 employees. Kari is a licensed board-certified Occupational Therapist, completing both her bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Texas Tech University. She has also served on several other boards throughout our city and the state of Texas. The McKowns are members of Highland Baptist Church.
