Heather Johansen joined Valor Grammar School in 2023 as Brooke Ramsey’s assistant, bringing with her a background in accounting, business, and a heart for helping Valor thrive. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Texas and spent several years working as an auditor in public accounting before stepping away from her career to raise a family.

During that season, Heather and her husband, Ben, welcomed their three sons.In 2023, Heather returned to the workforce at Valor, where she was able to put her professional experience to work in new ways in the Grammar Schopol—strengthening systems, improving communication, and helping the Grammar School operate with greater clarity and efficiency. She later took a year away from Valor to work at Leap Development, a business consulting firm, where she received training in team development and personal development tools. Heather returned to Valor in 2025 as Director of Operations for the Grammar School.

She loves helping bring clarity, consistency, and intentionality to the work of the Grammar School so that faculty and staff are equipped to flourish and the school can fulfill its mission with excellence. Heather’s favorite part of working at Valor is, without a doubt, the students! She considers it a joy and a privilege to witness God working through Valor’s faculty, staff, and families to nurture and shape the young people entrusted to the school’s care.
