Dr. Kirsten Escobar
Kirsten Escobar's sons have attended Valor since 2015, and she has volunteered at the school since they were students in the Grammar School. With the advent of the Rhetoric School, Kirsten formalized her role and now serves as the college counselor, helping students plan their course of study at Valor, research colleges, and navigate their path to higher education. Kirsten teaches dual credit courses in writing and literature at Valor after working and teaching in higher education for twenty years. Kirsten holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and Speech from Texas A&M University, a Master of Arts in English from the University of South Carolina, and a PhD in English from Baylor University. Kirsten and her husband Shane are active members of Renew Church and enjoy supporting their sons' many adventures in Scouting and taekwondo.
