Emily is thrilled to join Valor as the Logic School Bible teacher. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from the University of Georgia and has extensive training in Inductive Bible Study, along with nearly twenty years of vocational discipleship ministry experience in both church and parachurch settings. Her greatest passion is teaching others how to study the Bible for themselves so that they can know God truly and personally through His Word.

Emily and her husband, Mark, moved to Waco in 2015 for Mark’s position at Baylor. They have four children, two of whom joined their family through foster care and adoption. They love being members of Highland Baptist Church and living in the Woodway community.

In her free time, you’ll find Emily spending time with her family, reading in her backyard, working out, or cheering on the Baylor Bears and Georgia Bulldogs.
