Mrs. Mary Dunn

Upper School Art Teacher

Mary Dunn is excited to join the Valor community as the Upper Level Art teacher. Originally from England, she earned her degree in Art and Drama from Manchester Metropolitan University before moving to the United States. She worked as a professional mural artist and decorative painter before dedicating 15 years to being a stay-at-home mom while raising her three children.

Mary began her teaching career at a Christian academy in Colorado before teaching art in public education for the past four and a half years. Now entering her seventh year in education, Mary is grateful for the opportunity to invest in students through both creativity and faith.

Mary has been married for 30 years and has three children. Her oldest daughter recently graduated from Baylor University and will be married this fall, her middle daughter is studying paralegal studies at McLennan Community College, and her son is a junior at Midway High School, where he serves in a leadership role in the marching band. Mary attends Family Worship Center and enjoys drawing, painting, reading, traveling, walking, and spending time with her family.
