Mrs. Kristina Akin has been a Valor parent, co-teacher, and volunteer since 2022. When she began researching primary educational options in the Waco area, she fell in love with the encouraging and invigorating lifelong learning environment that the Valor family fosters. After subbing in the Grammar School, she is excited to officially be on staff and bring both of her daughters to work with her! Mrs. Akin most enjoys teaching Bible classes, and has taught all ages, from Cradle Roll through adult women's studies. She has been a private homeschool tutor, an undergraduate and graduate writing consultant, a senior payroll associate at the University of Texas at Austin, and also taught English 101 at her alma mater in Maryland.

Mrs. Akin has been married to Greg for over ten years and enjoys time with the Lord and her church family, reading historical fiction and narratives, experimenting with gluten-free and dairy-free recipes, volunteering with the Isaiah 117 House to reduce trauma for local children entering foster care, and exploring God's creation with her family.
