Mr. Hitchcock will be teaching physics and chemistry at Valor. While new to Valor he has extensive experience in both Christian and public schools. He also was an adjunct professor at Azusa Pacific University for 17 years. Growing up in the Adirondack Mountains of New York State he first taught in the public schools but then switched to a Christian School. After an amazingly small God-directed act (ask him) he moved to California, again with experience in both schools. He was also a coach of both basketball and golf. Also an author, he has written articles for “Chicken Soup for the Soul” and self-published ebooks and paperback books on Amazon on topics from golf to classroom leadership. His Bachelors Degree is from Houghton College and his Masters is from Clarkson University. He enjoys the students at Valor and appreciates the rhetoric approach to learning. He enjoys traveling with his wife, Elaine, in their RV. He also enjoys golf, fishing, bowling and writing. A “fun fact” is that he grew up on a farm in a really small town of fifty-nine people in the middle of the mountains.
