Mom’s “Minute Devo”–Monday, October 29th
Grace for the Day and Paper Plates!
Have you ever felt overwhelmed at all the responsibilities facing you? All the voices calling for your attention? All your family, friends, & others begging for more?
If you’re human, the answer is definitely YES! The good news is that you have GRACE AVAILABLE for today. It is a promise of God!!
Scripture Truth: 2 Corinthians 12:9 in the Amplified version says “but He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you [My lovingkindness and My mercy are more than enough–always available–regardless of the situation]; for [My] power is being perfected [and is completed and shows itself most effectively] in [your] weakness.” Therefore, I will all the more gladly boast in my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ [may completely enfold me and] may dwell in me.” Read this aloud every day this week. That really helps to get it “into” our hearts and minds!
So, don’t worry about what you CANNOT attend to at the moment…the Diaper Drive at school, the gift cards or meals for six different people, cleaning up the back of the garage or even the van, taking the kids on 3 different field trips, serving in yet another capacity in which you’ve been asked to serve at church or in another setting…
LET IT GO and GIVE IT TO GOD! He will direct you to accomplish what needs to be done and when. Let His Grace fill you with what you need for today!
A wise older woman once gave me permission to use paper plates!! I’ve never forgotten that, as it has come in handy through various challenging seasons.
Prayer: Father God, we choose right now by faith to lean on Your Great Grace that you have available to us! It’s great in measure and in value. Jesus, You purchased that Grace with Your sacrifice on the cross and we receive that abundance of grace now, for today! Amen.
